Anyone going to the Biltmore Estate in Asheville NC with an RV should be aware of the low tree branches and narrow, one lane on Approach Road.
We drove in today with our Class A and had the low branches scrape our roof at 4 different points on the road and then a narrow spot where another scraped the length of our coach on the passenger's side.
They post signs for RV's, have parking for RV's, but don't prepare the roadways to handle RV's.
I addressed it with one of the staff and he advised me to submit a complaint on the estate's web site.
I've sent my comments to the estate's management and want to see how they respond.

We were there last year with 40' coach and toad. Was tight but no scraping. Pesky trees grow. Sounds like they need to increase the trimming frequency.

That would be my last trip to Biltmore.

We took our class A, first REAL trip. Had no problems with scraping.

I think to believe you can go all over the country and not expect some damage is a bit naive.

These situations can be irritating to say the least. Have gotten myself into some pretty tense situations in the North Eastern states where better signage could have prevented any issues. Many roads there do not maintain minimum overhead clearance.

I have alleviated much of my stress by towing. Keeping the coach on main roads where possible and using the toad for excursions.

I realized a few years ago when owning a DP that I didn't retire so that I could become a bus driver.
