Black Book Specialty Market Update - Motorhomes

October 2021:

"The values of motorhomes dropped seven percent, falling for the first time since February, and while towables once again increased, it was by under one percent, their smallest gain since last November."

Just a heads up for those looking to purchase or sell a New or Used Motorhome, looks like the party is about over for the large gains.

With fuel pushing the $4 per gal. mark in some states its no wonder. Inflation is here and an unemployment check only goes so far. Many first timers will soon park them and sales will drop even more.

Talking about unemployment checks only go so far you are right. The company I work for durning the first COVID outbreak completely shut down for 14 weeks and unemployment only paid a fraction of my salary. With that said in my area you can’t go anywhere some company is hiring with a bonus every type of business needs help so why are people still on unemployment? Why will first timers park them they had the money to buy them? If inflation really hits it will be bad because of the large corporations that borrowed millions and millions to keep them open want be able to pay there loans. The feds have already said earlier this year they are going to keep interest rates low this year and probably next year. What I think will happen is a world wide housing crash. Just my opinion which is sometimes wrong.

I believe you’re correct. Break out the tissues for some and champagne for the others.
