Black Tank Overflow Valve stinks!

2021 Newmar Dutch Star. The last four times I’ve emptied the black tank, the drain valve directly under the wet bay drips a steady line of stinky water. The San icon is floaty strongly and properly into the sewer but a pencil-sized stream is flowing out of the nipple-like valve opening that is directly under the wet bay. The odor is overwhelming and takes 45 minutes to clear after I hose off the driveway. Does anyone know what’s going on?? Should this be happening? I’m parked outdoors in 105-degree temps; could that be part of the problem? Again, this only started about 6 weeks ago.

You should not be getting any liquid leaking from the black tank. I don’t have your model so others will be able to guide you. Good luck.

A picture of the fitting might help.

Post a picture of what your seeing.

There should never be a leak of any sort when the sewer hoses are properly connected and all hoses are in good shape.

Black tank "overflow valve" is something I'm not quite picturing for some reason. No, I have to think it shouldn't be happening. What is at the other end of the "nipple-like valve opening" ...or what is it connected to?

Is this something that all newer Newmars have? I guess other Newmar owners will understand it so I'll be curious as to what it is myself.

You'll have to use an independent host to post a video clip here. So if you can upload your video clip to youtube and then post the link to it in your post, it will show up as en embedded youtube video clip and we can all view it here in the thread.

However, if you prefer not to do that, can you post a series of photos? You do not have to have a separate host to post personal photos here.

Never heard of a black tank overflow. They have an air vent, but that's on your roof!

Waste tanks...Black or Grey....do NOT have Overflow piping

Black Tank can have a Flush System with Anti-siphon Vacuum Breaker Device inside a sink cabinet etc....but it does NOT drain to the exterior of RV

Waste tanks have drain outlets that are connected to drain lines that go to sewer connection with dump valves
Waste tanks have drain lines into top of tanks from sinks, showers and toilet
Waste tanks have Vent lines from top of tanks to roof

Waste tanks do NOT have Overflow lines.

Any chance that you have a valve or valves that allow you to bypass the macerator and they may be misconfigured or slightly open and it’s leaking when you turn on the macerator?
