I don’t like black wheels on anything. Reminds me of cars without hubcaps. Unfinished.

It's a rare day that I agree on something with diesel owners but that just doesn't look right.

I'm a big fan of black wheels on cars, but I do like a little chrome in them - as opposed to solid black. My car had solid black rims so I added chrome stripes.

However, I don't think I'd like them on my Motorhome. Definitely not all black, at least.

Howdy FIRE UP, I was wondering what you use for cleaning your wheels? I use mothers paste, mothers foam wheel cleaner for a drill, and my drill, but I'm constantly cleaning them. Last year I spent 4 hours cleaning the tires, and wheels, I'm looking out at my motorhome right now (28 degrees) come this spring, it will take me 2 full days of cleaning, polishing the motorhome. just the outside. 05 Safari. I'm not really complaining, just I lost use of my left arm in 1992, now at age 62, my right arm gives out really fast. enough said, what do you use on your wheels?. Randy

Almost all of us have chrome wheels. Wouldn't it be nice to have something different? Even if it's not for you, you would definitely notice and it would sure be a conversation topic at the campgrounds.

My new RV has a lot of black paint so I think it might look ok. But only on an RV that has black paint in its scheme. I agree on all other colors it would probably look bad. Sure would be easier to keep clean.

Food for thought. Posts above me say they hate it. Right now the RV industry is doing more and more to upgrade / modernize the looks of RV's. Compare the picture at the top to most boring white RV's from +30 years ago. Maybe they had a simple stripe but nothing like todays RV's paint jobs.

Last thought... Like high end vehicles? Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Land Rover, Jaguar, Porsche, and others ALL charge more for having chrome and emblems "blacked out." Don't believe me? Go online and look for yourself. Many brands are charging over +$1000 for a black out package. Do you really think this popular look won't carry over to RV's? Wait 10 years and this might be the norm on the higher end coaches and they will get us for an extra $5k to boot.
Sure beats polishing wheels[emoji41]

I did a quick photo mock up of my bus with the wheels colored in. Thoughts?

I personally love the black wheels but only leaving the center caps and lug nut covers chrome.

Polished aluminum is clean but not unique by far.

I plan on trying the plasti dip as another mentioned to get a true visual first.

To be unique one must change stock.

I believe if done correctly, this upgrade would make your already beautiful coach stand out as unique and a matching toad behind would be in order.

Black wheels on your class A anyone?

A 45’ Thor where I park my Motorhome has the black rims. It looks pretty good! I love the look of my Alcoa rims so I won’t be switching over!
