No, dropping support for the API only. The developer is supporting the firmware on the device itself and the ability to update that. He also has his "app" that you can run on your phone / tablet to view the data.
Additional to that, he has documented how 3rd party software (like my control system) can talk directly to the firmware without the "bluefire App". This is the API. So, if he updates the firmware for a new function, and then doesn't update the API, then my software wouldn't know how to implement the new feature (like additional data).
So no issue for those that are using Bluefire as a non integrated standalone app on your phone or tablet.
