Bluefire mileage calculator?

My bluefire reports instantaneous gas mileage… anywhere from 4 -20 mpg .

How does one set it to calculate trip fuel economy? Can’t find this anywhere?

It just displays 0.0 for trip economy…

I believe it is the "avg fuel economy" gauge/option you need to find. Some things don't work with some models/engines/years. So I doubt you will find documentation for this.

You can try the bluefire forum or contacting bluefire.

SO not sure which engine/trans combo you have but in our case (2001 Cummins 350ISC) the ECU does not transmit actual fuel flow as some of the newer models do but there is a setting (in settings) that you can use that will estimate your fuel flow as ours does. There is also an offset option that you can use to dial this in more precisely....after just a little fiddling mine is VERY accurate, like within .5-1GA per fill-up.

If you touch on the trip icon and start a trip with the BlueFire it should calculate average fuel economy.

Thanks guys, will try that...

Anyway to stabilize the instant MPG? Fluctuates like crazy every second, near useless...

The only time you will see it stable is climbing a hill with your foot stuck in the generator.
