I have a smaller slide for my galley and when the slide is in, the booth dinette gobbled up a lot of room.
I found the perfect table and chairs so Saturday morning, I dis-assembled the booth dinette and installed the new setup. The wood chairs look like they were made as a set with the table, but actually, they are
folding chairs and I can store them under the bed! When I need sleeping space, the chairs can be folded away, the table can be moved to the front and I have a raised floor self inflating full size air mattress that fits perfectly in that space! So I lose nothing except some storage under the old booth dinette seats.
I am going to get a floor rug for the dinette area, patch and paint the walls, remove the glass partition to the right of the stove (no longer necessary) and add a foldaway counter top extension (plan on cutting/using the old dinette table top to match existing counters) to the right of the stove like the one I have on the other end. This coach has a very small small amount of counter space, so an extra 6-8" extension will really help!
Here are pictures of what I got done Saturday.....
By the way, if anybody knows anybody that wants a booth dinette, contact me! I've got it for sale in Craigslist, it's in great shape and the fabric can be replaced easily since it's all zippered over the cushions......
