Broken Mirror 05 Newmar Kountry Star

Broke the driver's side mirror off on our last trip, it made for an interesting trip home. Any ideas where I can buy them?

I'm fairly certain that Newmar used Ramco mirrors for the Kountry Star around that time. I can't tell by the photo but is it just broken at the ball-joint or do you have other damage? It might look as if you need a new head unit? ...or is that in tact? Is the arm itself okay?

Be glad you broke the mirror, it is about $800 dollars less than the cost of the arm. Ask me how I know! I know Newmar has them but you can probably find someone who has them for less.

The arm is ok, it was the ball stud that broke. I still have all the pieces.

Check Bontrager's in White Pigeon, Mi. When we were there in Sept. walking around, I walked past around 30-35 pair of mirrors for motorhomes.
You may get lucky there.

Well, again, I can't quite tell from your photo but if all you need is the ball cup assembly, it's relatively easy to replace.

You can buy one here:

Ramco Engineering, Inc. PRO308 Ball Cup Set - $12.76

Attached is a picture tutorial on how to orient the ball cup.

If you need other Ramco parts ...go HERE

And before ordering, you may want to call Ramco to make sure it's the correct part you're ordering:

(574) 266-1455 or (800) 321-4819

also email: customerservice@ramco-eng.com

HACK,I Also broke my passenger side mirror clear off the coach.. Under the plastic cover (where the arm attaches to the body) there is a metal casting that has four stainless screws that attaches all parts to the coach. Called Ramco Eng. after looking at their web site to see what type of Mirrors I have. They are the #1750 series on my 2012 MADP 4336. Found the casting number, talked with customer serv. Purchased the part, received it in two days.... All is well now. Outstanding service Jim75

Last fall I bought a used mirror for my 2005 Winnebago at Colaw RV Salvage in Joplin, MO.

A 2005 Winnebago Journey used Velvac mirrors but it wouldn't hurt to hit the salvage yards for a Ramco. However, it sounds as if (not entirely sure) that the OP just needs a ball assembly that attaches the head to the arm. Velvac mirrors unfortunately do not have ball joint connection between the mirror and the arm.

It's a RAMCO mirror, just work with them, they're the best. I lost one over the summer coming across PA (traffic sign was a big too close to the road) and as luck would have it, I was staying about 1/2 hour away from Ramco, went to their place, replacement is the same as the original.

If you do have to replace more than the ball, they do have replacements that are half the cost of a new one, they're blemished or whatever they call them.

You have the chrome 9000 series with a broken ball stem which is the base of the casting that the internal components are attached to. That casting isn't sold as a standalone part, so you would need to either replace it with a 1350 series mirror head. or contact us for an RMA to send it in for repair.

Thanks to everyone for the help and info, I was able to buy a set of mirrors from RAMCO to replace these. I will be installing them soon and will keep everyone posted with pics on the progress.
