Bug removal

Anybody got any good ideas on how to get bugs off the front of your motorhome? I tried the dryer sheets but they wouldn't get them all off. I have seen where others use WD40, but I'm afraid that might hurt the finish. Any more ideas?

Bug Magic. I bought it from the Tiffin Camp store. Darnedest stuff I've seen. Pretty much just melts them away. Easy.
Not cheap, but good stuff.

Bug removal

Bug Magic does work well. Got some last time we were in Red Bay. Also, I’ve used Dawn in warm water. They pretty much come right off. After all, it works on ducks. Also trying something new from a guy in the campgrounds. He’s been doing it for some time. Says bugs don’t splat, they hit and basically roll off like water. Lemon Pledge! I did put it across the Diamond Shield but haven’t been out killing bugs yet, so don’t know on that one.

I use Turtle Wax car wash and a micro fiber mit. Once clean, I dry it and wax the diamond shield with a synthetic wax(lasts longer). I do this about 3 times a year. In between waxing, I coat the diamond shield with 303 aerospace protectant. So far, it’s nice and slippery and the bugs come off very easily. No weird concoctions. Jut normal car wash soap and wax. Also, this is how the guys at diamond shield recommended I do it if I didn’t have their proprietary stuff(cause no one else sells it).

Someone mentioned dawn dish soap. This may strip the bugs off, but it’s also stripping any and all wax or protectant off as well. So you may want to consider reapplying the wax or protectant.

Having recently spent a lot of $$ to have the old Diamondshield removed and replaced, I'm extremely cautious about what I use on it. i'm staying with the manufacturer's recommendations. Bug Magic, wax and 303.

After you get the bugs off apply Rejex and the bugs will come off easy. Rejex also sells a cleaner Xtreme Clean.

A strong mix of water and Dawn dish soap will do the job.

Apply it and wait five minutes. Apply it again and wait another five minutes.

Wipe off.
