How do you go about changing compartment door latches I know you unscrew at the side of the door but do you need to open up the plate Behind the handle and disconnect something to enable the latch to be pulled out?

You will receive better responses if you detail your coach's brand and year. My Monaco latches were simple to replace. Mine were not at the side of the door though.
