Installation of driver side window-Holiday Rambler Endeavor 30 9F
The motorhome gods were shining on me. So I gave one more call to the tech support@the manufacturer and got hold of the fellow who used to work the assembly line. Very helpful.
His repair shop at the factory removes the attaching screws to that window assembly without taking the cabinet down. The hard part is removing the pulldown blinds. But it is screwed in, and once you find the screws, you have to use a long screwdriver and remove the screws on the bracket. Then you use a dogbone wrench with a number 2 Phillips to take the screws out that are not accessible. The glass company says my window will be here in about a week, and that little bitty window was $586. But replacing the whole assembly required the same effort, but the part was over $1600 plus the freight. So we'll see how it goes. I'll need a grandson to help me with this; at my age, I don't know that I have the flexibility and the stamina to use that dogbone wrench.
Thank you for the help I received and the rapid response to this post. I can't say that the problem is solved, but I'll know much more about it in the next couple of weeks. I will update the post.
Thanks again, Dale
