Angry Cabinets in 2018 Holiday Rambler removal

I am unblessed with a 2018 Holiday Rambler endeavor. Multiple problems and expensive solutions are a way of life with one of these. The latest problem is a fogging glass on the roadside by the driver's seat. You cannot buy just the glass; you have to buy the assembly, which with shipping is around $1750. I found a glass company to remove the glass and replace it with a new glass, but I have to remove the cabinet above the driver's window. The assembly will not come apart unless it is removed. The upper cabinet there is in the way of the bolts needed to be removed for disassembly of this assembly. I contacted tech support, but people at Holiday Rambler can't tell me how to do it. I see no screws and bolts to release the cabinets from their mounting. Has anyone had this similar problem, and is there a solution?

It’s not easy to get at the screws. I have a Newmar Dutchstar and have customized the front cabinets (deleted the massive box for a CRT tv). The screws for the bottom are hidden under the wood panel on the bottom. It’s brutal getting that up without trashing it. In my case, the cabinets were screwed end to end kinda like the human centipede.

It’s daunting at first, but once you figure out how it’s put together it’ll go quickly.

Edit: I have pictures of the mod and cabinets. If you think it’d help let me know and I’ll post them.

Installation of driver side window-Holiday Rambler Endeavor 30 9F

The motorhome gods were shining on me. So I gave one more call to the tech support@the manufacturer and got hold of the fellow who used to work the assembly line. Very helpful.

His repair shop at the factory removes the attaching screws to that window assembly without taking the cabinet down. The hard part is removing the pulldown blinds. But it is screwed in, and once you find the screws, you have to use a long screwdriver and remove the screws on the bracket. Then you use a dogbone wrench with a number 2 Phillips to take the screws out that are not accessible. The glass company says my window will be here in about a week, and that little bitty window was $586. But replacing the whole assembly required the same effort, but the part was over $1600 plus the freight. So we'll see how it goes. I'll need a grandson to help me with this; at my age, I don't know that I have the flexibility and the stamina to use that dogbone wrench.

Thank you for the help I received and the rapid response to this post. I can't say that the problem is solved, but I'll know much more about it in the next couple of weeks. I will update the post.

Thanks again, Dale
