Call me crazy

Well I did a pretty good renovationh on my coach over the winter, new floor, moved the TV from front to mid coach, MCD windshield shade, dishwasher to name a few, then while taking care of my older sister near the camping world in Statesville NC, the DW and I took a tour of new coaches to kill time and get out of the house. We ended up test driving a new one and now we take delivery of a new 2013 Thor Challenger DT. Trading in our 2003 Damon Challenger. The new coach rides so much better. Can't wait to take it on our Yellowstone Caravan this summer.

Ah.... the old "we had some time to kill so we toured new coaches" trick.

Congratulations on the new rig and best of luck! Seems that as soon as I finally complete major projects on something... I sell it too!

RickO - I have that same bad habit. While on my winter travels this year, I had MCD shades installed in whole coach, replaced norcold with residential (Samsung 197), installed all new batteries. Get home in the spring and put it up for sale. Sold in two weeks (multiple buyers), so guess the renovations motivated the new buyer.

DW was recovering from an illness and got bored at the house. She said lets take a drive to get me out of the house; I'd like to go to Camping World and just look___. Now we have a MH.

The three most dangerous words, "Let's just look". Last time we uttered them we had a new truck and trailer in 3 days.

Ah yes.... 2 years ago went to the Rally in Redmond, OR. We're there for a full day and only spent $11 on a new map atlas. Then we "just looked" and toured the Itasca (same as Tour) 42QD. Spent the night crunching numbers and looking at finance and next day signed the deal and traded in our 2007 National Tropical. Now have 23K on the 2011 Itasca.

Just looking can be very expensive

I hate that "just looking" thing. Then I had to build a "toy box" for all those "just looking" excursions!! But, I'm smiling as I write this....sure was fun!!

Enjoy it! We only have so much time to do the things we like the most...might as well be happy and go in style! The folks at Statesville CW have been great to us...Cameron is the service guy and he is great...
