Can anyone help identify this, please
We recently purchased an A Class 36', 2001 Diesel Fleetwood Expedition from a private owner, he can't help us with this question and there is no information in the coach. It is located in the control/status panel above the drivers seat. Can anyone identify this one item.

Welcome to the forum! A picture of the item would be helpful.

Winegard satellite antenna elevation display. You must have a crank-up satellite dish/antenna on the roof. The LED readout will get you very close to the elevationangle up, as you crank up the antenna. Once elevaton set rotate antenna to point at satellites and watch TV. OK not quite that simple - but it will be once you get it all figured out. Good luck with the new RV

It's you elevation read out for your hand crank sat dish on top of your coach. Start cranking up your dish and watch the numbers. You push the little gray button to see the readout once it has blacked out from inactivity.

FWIW mine is 10 degrees off. If Elevation for my location is 42 I crank to see 32. You will have to figure this out, it took some time until I had the fudge factors calculated. The good news is with the iphone compass and the elevation corrected it is about 5 mins to find the SAT. Auto seeking HD is on my upgrade list. Also, you will be looking at sat 101 in SD for DTV. The iphone has an app that allows you see use the camera to actualy "see" the location of the Sat you are looking for. t's pretty handy for seeing if your site view is blocked or clear.

I had to replace the sensor on the dish on one and as I recall there was a calibration procedure to zero it. You might check the Winegard web site for info on how it is done.
