I lived in Europe for 35 years and the roads their are far better, but they tax the heck out of automobiles and fuel.
I suppose you pay what you get for.
What would Eisenhower say now.

Aside from chassis issues, the coach (house) itself can suffer damage. We have had 2 of our 3 tv’s fall off the wall, the closet bar collapse as well as some drawer latches breaking. It’s sort of like having a minor earthquake every time you drive a rough road.

How can you have bad roads? We have county’s in Texas that are bigger than your state!

Last year I was on the California road along the river from Needles, CA to Laughlin, NV. Worst road I have ever been on plenty of bumps, but the worst was a pothole I couldn't go around because of on coming traffic. I was surprised I didn't blow the front right tire. When I was setting up at the RV Park I saw a big crack above and just behind my door. My insurance picked it up under collision. First and last time on that road, I wouldn't take a Tank over that road.

We also have one of the most corrupt governments and all funds, including the gas tax, go into the general fund. Guess where they don’t spend it. I could go on and on but we have beautiful beaches and coastline and I am very close to a beach that is a National Wildlife Refuge so we deal with the issues and will remain. Just frustrating.

Try I-80 through Indiana, but then you have to remember that it is actually owned by Australia and all they want is the toll money.
