Can I legally drive in Canada ?
Can I legally drive my 31700 lb diesel air coach in Canada? I live in FL where there are no more licence requirements than to drive my tow car.
Thanks
John

If you are legal in your home state you are fine in all of Canada.

Pretty sure he will need his air endorsement to be legal.

If his home State doesn't require that endorsement then he shouldn't need it anywhere else.

You may be right Doc but I would check into that for sure. Crossing the border is a different story then going from state to state.

We travel across the border into Canada many times per year. Have never had a problems. Reciprocity works with the States as well. As long as you are legal in the state you are licensed in, you are legal in Canada.

Delaware (my home state) does not require a special license. Drove our 32k lb rig into Canada twice without any question.

License requirements are reciprocal across North America.
You are subject to length and weight in each individual jurisdiction. Drive in a sane responsible manner and you are unlikely to have and issues for length or weight.

They don't check for licenses endorsements at the border crossings. They are only interested in your having ID and a clean record (no DUI or Felony) to cross. As long as you don't do any bad driving in Canada, you won't have to worry about getting pulled over and having any endorsements checked out! Just drive safe and stay under the radar.

Still no definitive answer, but it looks like there isn't much worry. Now just need to check insurance.
Thanks all for the input.

If your legal in Florida , you will be legal anywhere in Canada. Just don't forget your passport . You might get into Canada , but possibly not back to the US.
