Cancellation of TCS Cards/Accounts

I just received an email from TCS stating that as of December 16, 2022 my TCS card/account would be canceled. I called TCS to ask what was going on---bottomline they no longer support RVers, only commercial trucks.

I assume those of you with TCS cards received the same email. Any suggestions for an alternative with similar discounts?

I got the email as well. Strange that FMCA didn't say anything and nothing on the website about the fuel discount or that the card is being discontinued and why.

I’ve never heard of TCS. Guess it doesn’t matter now. We use TSD and like it. Sometimes it’s kind of hard to figure out their discounts on their billing but that’s probably just me.

Looks like the beginning of the end of RV fuel cards.

TCS is NOT TSD Logistics which is the company behind https://myopenroads.com/

No cancelation from https://myopenroads.com/ sign up with them! You won't regret it.

TCS

Got a email I can verify
And yes accounts will be closed
Never hurts to double check there are lots of scams out there and it pays to be careful

I have not found the discounts with mudflap to be worth the effort - and paying the full rate in advance of them sending any discount later. There was another program that a friend told me about that operates similarly - you pay the pump rate but "check in" at the location with the app before pumping, and they somehow see the transaction and refund you later. Except when using that program for the first time, two different transactions at two different "preferred" Shell stations, the receipts failed to be acceptable to them, so there was NO discount.

Now with TSD (Tri State Delivery) and their RV card program, only the pump (and on-site receipt) shows the full price. What is actually paid is the discounted rate, every time. I have NEVER had any issue with TSD's program. Only ONE TIME did a station not accept the program when it was listed in the app, and that turned out to be a mistake in operation by the cashier at that location. The TSD program has saved me hundreds of dollars thus far, and I'm VERY happy to keep using it. With a substantial fleet of RVers and trucks under TSD's program, their negotiating power is getting better all the time. There's just no downside.
