Can't find Class A 2010-2012 models. Why?

Been looking for a newer coach. Have a 1999 Discovery 34Q and she's a bit small now that the g-kids are nearing teens. Anyway, have been looking to upgrade by 10-12 years (yet stay away from DEF) and have noticed that there seems to be little to no 2010-2012 units on the market. Anyone have any ideas why that might be? Did it have to do with the econimic downturn in 2008 with the builders?

Depends what coach you're after. DEF started to become commonplace around 2009-2010, unless you got a motor that was sitting on a pallet for quite some time that didn't require it. Certainly by 2012 it became much harder to find one without it. Also, 2010-2012 coach manufacturing numbers may have just been low due to great recession recovery. Though I am only speculating and have no hard data to back that up with.

You didn't say if you were looking gas (that's staying away from DEF) or diesel. There's a gas just showed up in our Classifieds in your age range
https://www.irv2.com/rvclassifieds/s...65-miles&cat=4

I also did a general search on rvtrader for 2010-2012 years & that returned 754 Class A total results

On edit: filtering for diesel got me 356 Class A's

Premier RV has some coaches that may grab your attention. They are in Oregon.

Agree with Stonefish…Premier RV in Oregon. I watch their YouTube videos all the time. They have some very nice units on hand that fit your search.

The RV industry was in turmoil during this time, several large manufacturers went bankrupt and/or were bought by other brands. Manufacturing was limited. This was right after the "great recession".

I know in 2009 Monaco was struggling and eventually went into bankruptcy. I toured the plant in Aug 2009 and it was being manned by a skeleton crew putting out minimal number of coaches. They were eventually bought by Navistar who ultimately failed.

Several other brands went under.

That would be right. I have 2009 CC with a 2007 ISL 425.
