Canyon Star help

I just purchased a preowned canyon star 2015 class A and have a question. On my prior rv, the inverter light came on but on this one it does not. I know there is an inverter so my question is, does the generator or shore power need to be on for the inverter to come on.

Canyon Star help

I had a ‘15 CS 3921. Make sure the battery disconnect is turned on. Then you can press the Invert button in the panel to use the batteries when shore / generator aren’t available.

If that doesn’t help maybe a picture of your control panel will help us understand what options you have to tailor the answers.

P.S. update your signature so we know your rig.

Get out your volt meter and see if there is battery power to the inverter .

The inline fuse between the battery bank and the inverter may have been tripped ( blown ) during battery installation .

Large inverters use a fuse that may look like this.

Make sure the inverter battery cables are connected and not laying behind the batteries.

OK....did you press the button on the control panel located above the entry door? Basing this question on my 2012 Bay Star, and at one point in time, I also didn't have the inverter on until I discovered the little button on the control panel solved the problem.

Shore power does not need to be on for the inverter to work and the indicator light to be on.
