Captain Chair covers

These Fleetwood chairs have been the topic of a number of forums and their crappy upholstery material. But has anyone come up with a nice seat cover or just the "butt cushion " seat cover to fasten on over the unsightly tattered fake leather. Use to be, you'd just open the JC Whitney catalogs and presto, the right size seat covers or cushions were found. Looking for a source for a cover, for a Christmas present. No, I am not going to get these things reupholstered at this time.

It’s not a Fleetwood only issue.
Anyways, do yours have the Flexsteel logo on the armrest? If so you can get new covers
If no logo, then chances are they are Lexingtons. In that case you are stuck with replacing the whole seat, recovering or finding a universal cover. I went with the full replacement route. Didn’t look for slip on covers.

rvdashcovers.com.
My captains chairs in my 2019 Fleetwood were starting to show very minor wear and I didn't want it to go any further so I ordered custom seat covers from rvdashcovers.com.

Fast service , reasonable pricing and they delivered beautiful covers that fit perfectly.

The measuring is a little tedious but the better you measure the better they fit.

I highly recommend them.

My 2004 American Eagle captain's chairs are both Real Leather & I had full shearlings covers made for them & I gotta tell you it's pretty nice to sit in the saddle on long trips.

It’s all manuf. mine just started a little bit 2 years ago. Then last year they really started to go, we have a 2012 Georgetown. Any strap on cover is going to look terrible as far as fit and style goes. I am recovering my chairs myself. Just finished the drivers seat and got the passenger bottom done. Hopefully I’ll get the back done this week. It’s alot of work but well worth it. The last 2 Pics was the before. For some reason our 12 year old seats lasted longer than some 3 year old seats.

The question is how much?
Last time I looked it was cheaper (and a whole lot easier) to replace the whole chair then the hassle or replacing the cover.

Dano, did you put the cushions under the cover or on top? How do they sit? Would you order them again? Thanks

I put the lumbar and seat cushions on 1st then the seat covers. The covers have built in room for the cushions. These fit perfectly and far more comfortable. Straps that hold them are well made.

2 minor issues, not many color options and the fact that my chairs have skirting around the bottom makes the hook straps under the seat look awful. I just got some 1 lb. fishing weights to dangle from them and hold them down.

I would definitely get them again.
