Captains chairs: how to swivel?

I have the flexsteel 6-way chairs in our 2004 Newmar. They have a lever on the front to unlock them for rotation. The driver's chair won't swivel and the passenger chair did but now doesn't. Pulling the lever it feels like there's a cable attached--am I doing this wrong? Is there a safety lock where the chair has to be in a certain position or setting to swivel?

Captains chairs: how to swivel?

They get hard to swivel. Previous owner of mine said drivers chair didn’t swivel but I found it it did with some muscle. I sprayed some dry film lube up in there and that helped, but still not easy to turn. My levers for rotation are on the left side.

I had to lubricate our chairs to get them to swivel again... as far as I can
tell there is no "lock" mechanism on our Flexsteel Captains chairs.
Might want to double check that the cable is still attached to the swivel
mechanism, but probably just needs to be lubed...

Make sure the cable is releasing the lock. Also make sure the pivot bolt nut has not been over tightened.

I just replaced one of those cables and I also replaced the bearing for the swivel. Now the wife can turn the chair again.

I have a 2004 Cruise Master by Georgie Boy and cannot figure out how to get the chairs to swivel. I know the passenger one swivels because I moved it back into forward position to use the computer drawer in front of it, now it won't go back.

HELP!!!!
