Carbon Monoxide Monitor

Replaced it about couple of years ago, the replacement by date is Marc 2023. Just recently started with single beep about every 30 sec. I put in a new battery, but it hasn't stop beeping. Anyone experience the same issue. Model Costar 12 RV-DB.

Are you sure it's the CO detector and not a smoke or propane detector?

Had one do that. The fix was to buy a new one. It was before the 10 year batteries though so it only coast a 9 volt to find out.

Is this a custom, built in unit or one you can buy at the hardware store?

Yep, mine failed too, after only three years. I couldn't find an OEM replacement, so I got a new Atwood RV model. It's rectangular, and wall mounted. I left the old one in place until I can come up with a decorative item to cover up the hole.

I have a friend who replaced his OEM Costar with a plug-in from Home Depot. Simple! I wish I'd thought of that!
