Hi Dale! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

Sorry I don't have an answer to your problem since our awning is manual! Keep her between the ditches!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

from WA State!

I'm pretty sure if the factory says it's not adjustable then they would know.
I have the Carefree Apex (Girard forerunner) awnings and the front one always retracts much sooner than the rear one even when set on low sensitivity.

My recollection of my earlier conversation with Carefree rep was that it was set to 7 mph. I live in Texas panhandle, so that means it will hardly be out.
Thnx for the replies.

Contact Carefree directly. Call or email from their website. There is a newer less sensitive sensor you can install. You need your actual part number. They will send a newer model. Been posted in the Fleetwood Owners forum here in IRV2 also.
Mine is on the way.

Disconnect the sensor and never leave the awning out
more than 2-3 feet when too windy or when you leave
the coach. My Dometic had the same issue, including that
it would auto-retract if it was raining !
So it disconnected the sensor 7 years ago.

Thank you. I did just that and Chris said to give him part # and he would send me another. (No charge)
