Cargo door removal 2005 Coachmen Santara

Trying to remove aft cargo bay door. Removed hydraulic arms, docking light and wiring. It looks like if I position the door in the correct position the door should lift up and off. Any help is appreciated. 2005 Coachmen Santara 3690 TS. Where the top of door fits in the body of the coach is a J shaped edge which is how the door pivots. I also believe there's a rod that the J shaped top edge of door pivots on but not certain. I think the door needs to be at approx. 90 degrees to be able to lift off rod that J shaped top edge of door pivots on. Does anyone know the proper steps?

You will need to remove fasteners for the hinge from below and end up sliding the door(s) off the end; they do not pivot off unless bent.

There are no hinges. It pivots or hinges on the J Shaped piece at the top of the door.

RV Wizard, Thanks for the replies. The door attaches to the top piece with 12 rivets. The only other thing I see is a flat piece of metal attached with, I'm guessing about 50-60 screws, and runs from just behind the living room slide to the back of the aft cargo bay door. When you say fasteners, are you talking about screws, rivets or something else ? I know I could drill the heads off the 12 rivets and then rivet the door back on the top piece to re-install but hoping to avoid doing that.

Cargo Bay Door Removal 2005 Coachmen Santara

RV Wizard, thanks again for your replies. I was able to remove the cargo bay door by removing the screws in the flat metal piece and pulling it out enough to slide the door off the end of the track. There was a rivet at the end that I had to remove to allow the door to slide off the end of the track. I'm glad it was the aft door. That made it easier.
