Carpet the Doghouse Price?

I need to have the area from the driver and passenger seat and doghouse forward re-carpeted. I have it stripped and clean of all glue and was quoted today for $300 and $100 for the carpet. I scheduled it for Wednesday and wanted to see if this sounded like a fair price.
Thanks,
Leon

I just did what you want to have done the last two days. I used the carpet I took up as a pattern. All together I spent around 110. That was for the carpet. padding and contact cement. I put indoor /outdoor from the back of the seats forward.

$300?? No way. I did a front area, bathroom, and bedroom with NEW carpet and did the whole front with dynamat sound deadener for less than $350. Thats with a professional doing the carpet portion.

I took a different approach. I found a remnant at Home Depot that closely matched my original carpet for $16. I bought a roll of Reflectix for $24. I cut the carpet to shape and put the Reflectix underneath it. I just layed the new stuff on top of the old stuff.

Not perfect but plenty good enough. Added insulation for heat and noise in addition to spiffing up the interior.

I aslo did the Dynamat in the same time frame.
