Catalytic converter

Hi all,
We went to the storage facility where our motorhome is stored to bring it back home for the day to clean it and get it ready for a trip next week. I fired up the engine and it made the devils noise. Shut the engine off, crawled under the RV and found a big space where the catalytic converter is supposed to be. So called the police, my insurance and storage management and repair shop. Hopefully it will be done quick. My question is this, anyone have ideas on how to prevent this from happening in the future? I thought about sand bags under the coach. The storage facility has a camera and gate but it didn't stop this. So just looking for ideas
Thanks

If they want it and have unlimited time to figure out how to get it they will.

I would say it is NOT a secured lot. If it is advertised as one they should pay for it.
