But gee, I'd probably want to change to LEDs. In fact, I'd recommend changing the entire fixture as it looks as if you'll need new diffusers anyway on the one you have.

Yeah, those are great ...but a bit pricey. I just thought he may want a budget-priced alternative. And, we don't even know if that's what he wants to do, LOL, as he's only asked how to remove the diffusers ...we're just jumping to conclusions.
Thanks, folks for the info. I like the led replacement idea. The grab and squeeze idea wasn't too well received... she slapped the p outta me. Guess wrong place, huh?
