Central Florida repair recommendations
We are in Central florida between Tampa and Ocala. I need our diesel generator dropped out of our 2003 Winnebago Journey and new belt hoses etc installed. Also may need a new basement air unit installed, (still doing diagnostic) Can anyone recommend a good repair/dealer in this area? We have been through the Camp world wringer before. thanks,B

There is a Cummins repair facility in Tampa.
Lazy Daze is there as will but I suspect the wait time is very long.

Assuming it's an Onan generator, go to an Onan shop. Onan is a Cummins brand, so most Cummins shops are also Onan, or have an Onan dealer associated with them. The Cummins dealer shops in Tampa & Ocala both service Onans.
You don't need or want an RV dealer for generator work.

Give Drews RV in Ruskin a call.... I don't know of he does genset work, but if he doesn't , he'll direct you to someone that can do it.

I’ve used a place called Preventive Maintenance in Clearwater. I believe they have a diesel generator mechanic on site. Can’t say they are the cheapest but they do excellent work.

This place is in North Central Florida not too far from I 75 but the reviews are wonderful for generator service. Very RV friendly. I have never used them, just heard a lot about them:North Florida Welding Supply, 1900 US-41, Lake City, FL 32055

I have had a good experience with Alliance Coach in Wildwood... just off I 75 near the Villages. They were recommended to me and have good reviews.
They have an on-site CG for customers and we came in the day before to be ready for service the next AM.

We broke down in our RV a week ago and were towed by a tow truck from Truck Shop in Okahumka, Florida (just southwest of Leesburg. We had them tow us to their facility in okahumka, and I was REALLY impressed with them. They were very familiar with working on motorhomes, they were friendly, helpful, and competent. Although our problem was not with our generator I am sure they would have no problem taking care of your generator issues. I was so impressed I have decided to use them for our preventative maintenance instead of Tampa Freightliner were we have been going.
