Question Ceramic RV Wash

Can a ceramic RV wash & wax be used on a motorhome that does not have a ceramic coating?

Meguiar's says yes, in fact they recommend starting with a base of wax or ceramic. I started with a base of Meguiar's Ultimate wax and now use the Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic product that you apply during the rinse and have had good results. I do use a pressure washer to distribute the product and I do towel dry as I go although this is not required.

I've used several of the ceramic wash/wax products. The water sheeting action of these products is really good. However, I found they don't have enough surfactants and suds to clean well IMO.

Been using Superior Products Wash n Wax. It's not a ceramic and they don't claim it is durable like ceramics, but ya know, I find it seems to work the same. Maybe won't last a year but does seem to hold up for a couple of months. It also lifts dirt effectively and rinses with fewer water spots than ceramic wash/wax products I've used.

The kicker? It's cheap. $12 per gallon at O'Reilly's.

I've used McGuire's and Turtle ceramic wax and I really like the results. It's important to use a brush/applicator to rub over the surface (at least on the ceramic wash for power washers). I find that using the ceramic wash and using Captain Richard's Best for quick touchups, I don't need to use any other waxes, and I save a lot of time. We've had our Bay Star for four years and it is ten years old, but people comment frequently on how good to exterior looks.
