I replace the love seat sleeper with a dual love seat recliner. Both original and new the backs came off so getting everything in and out thru a 24" door wasn't a problem. Hardest part has installing the lag bolts thru the recliner frame into the floor to hold it in place. Lost a couple of inches in overall length but better to go slightly smaller then hope something will be an exact fit unless you can measure yourself.

x23 on the Lay-Z-Boys. Very happy with ours. Had them delivered to our storage lot and the delivery people put them into the trailer. We got a real nice light beige leather set.

Aren't those Pinnacle models comfy?!? I've seen several iRV2 members with that exact model in their RV's. I've got a Pinnacle reclining loveseat & a Pinnacle recliner in our S&B. Love that model.

I was worried about the same thing when I was planning out our conversion. But now that it's installed, it's hardly noticeable that the back of the love seat partially covers a small bottom portion of the slide windows. And my computer screen blocks even more. But in our opinion it's a non issue and the benefits far outweigh what was sacraficed. Over the last 16 months I've made a ton of upgrades or improvements to our MH and in every case, there was ALWAYS a give and take in every decision. There is NO perfect replacement for anything you do and I just don't try to get everything perfect anymore. Mainly because IMO, it's an impossible goal to achieve.
And you're realizing that now. How? Well, the factory designed your coach with the nice low profile couch so you could see out the windows and keep all the lines architecturally pleasing. BUT....as you have found out they are not comfortable are they? NOP! So they also made some decisions with compromises. So now here you are making another decision. Either you want to be comfortable or see 100% out of the windows. Pick your poison.

We removed the sleeper sofa for two recliners and are glad we did.
We looked all over for the recliners and finally bought ours from Hudson Furniture. It's worked really well for us and wasn't very hard. We did have to take the sofa apart to get it out but it did fit, recliners too, through the front door.

We did just the opposite. The previous (2nd) owner, took out the original Coach couch (also replaced all the carpet with laminate) and just put 2 recliners in.
We took them out and purchased a 68" Thomas Payne Tri-Fold Sofa Sleeper (though the 72" would have worked). Comfortable in both sofa and sleeper setups (no bar in the middle like a hide-a-bed). The 68" allows a narrow table on one side, the other side has a bar/counter already.
We have 2 dogs (one 31lb and one 74lb), so all 4 of us like to lounge in the front in sleeper mode while watching TV or just hanging out and a bed for a guest or our 74lb dog when she wants to sleep by herself at night. We essentially use it similiar to recliners but just have room for the dogs. We are both tall, I am 6'4 and she is 5'10, plenty of leg room with room to spare for the dogs to lounge below the feet or in between us.

WE just replaced our J lounge that was 77” wide and Ultra leather. We ordered the same color dual recliners, with a arm rest and cup holders from Lambright comfort chairs. They make an outstanding product. They were an excellent company to deal with. The owner is named Vernon. Regards

I would like to replace my sofa bed. I was under the impression i had to purchase a unit that was specifically designed for a Motor home? That does not appear to be the case.

You can put in whatever you want. RV mfr's have strict rules to follow, but not you.

The only general rule is what ever you buy has to either fit thru the door or you'll need to find another access point such as removing a window or even the windshield.

I'm looking at replacing couch with recliners but don't know how to secure the recliners for travel.

Replaced the jackknife sofa with a powered La-z-Boy loveseat. Had to remove the center section to get it inside. (Also had to extend electricity behind it.) Only problem is we have to raise the footrest before reclining the back or it 'catches' on the window surround. Hated losing the sofa storage drawer but we hid some stuff behind the loveseat...

I replaced one in previous Wbgo and just made up a 2 piece web strap w snap together buckles.
Bolted one piece to the floor attached the other to the chair base. Snapped together to travel... Unsnap & relocate chair after arriving.
If there are seat belts in the area it makes for a perfect tie down anchor. You can either use the belt or rig a custom web strap to the same attachment point.
