Chassis upgrades for my 2021 Pace Arrow 33D

Hi all,
Need help with recommendations for my 2021 Pace Arrow 33D chassis, it seems to ride very rough and I can feel every little bump in the road which in turn makes the interior noise level very loud.
Not sure if any others out there have the same issue.

Thanks,

JRO

What chassis is it on?

Tires pressure set by weight is the first thing to ensure. Too high can result in poor ride quality.

I was going to guess it was a gasser but see that it's DP on a Freightliner chassis. Typically, the issue will be overinflated tires. Often the manufacturer/dealer inflates the tires to maximum capacity which can make it ride like a tank. You need to get the coach weighed, determining the front and rear axle weights. Getting all four corners weighed is best, but not that easy to do. At minimum, most scales can weigh the axles.

Once you have the weights, determine what tires you have and then look online for the tire company. They will tell you, via an inflation chart, what air pressure you need to set the tires for the weight on that axle/tire for your particular coach. Your fronts may be currently set at 100 psi, but your coach may only need 90 psi in the fronts. 10 psi will make for a harsh ride.

Not much else can be adjusted on a DP to change the ride with one exception. A DP has what is called a ride height setting. When the airbags are fully inflated on flat ground, they are supposed to be set at a specific height (adjustment). This adjustment or height is what makes the coach sit "balanced" front to rear. If that balance is off and the ride height is out of adjustment, it can make for a rough ride. However, this is not very common.

Koni shocks are typically a ride improvement, especially if a straightaxle chassis. Installed them on our freightliner XC. Noticeably improved ride, especially when encountering abrupt roast surface changes such as expansion straps and bridge transitions.

MCU's (motion control units) can address 'Walmart wobble'. The rocking that occurs when entering a driveway or dragging a tire over a curb.

A safetyplus steering stabilizer if often a smfirst addition. Improved straight line tracking, steering wheel return to center, and help in high winds. Plus the safety factor in the case of a catastrophic tire failure.
