Check Engine Light

I have a 2015 Entegra Cornerstone with Cummins 600hp engine. Normally, the check engine light comes on when I turn the key, stays on for 30 - 40 seconds, light goes off, then I start the engine. Now, all of a sudden, check engine light stays on, even when engine is running.

Anyone know what the issue could possibly be?

Thanks in advance!

I think you will have to have the codes read. Could be about anything including it detected fuel it doesn't like. I have a code reader for the car that has paid dividends..not sure what kind of reader you need for the coach.

Most likely if it is is either a DEF fuel pump or Sensor related issue. PLEASE if if you get a DEF light, Check Engine, . STOP ASAP.
If you get a Stop you ain't going anywhere. Most of the time it is easily fixed if you stop but if you don't you will be setting along the road waiting for help. No. Google up your Cummings 600 and go through the procedure that will come up. first find the Code. Then there may be steps to get rid of that code. A lot of timed it need to burn off and it does that seamlessly while you drive. Other times, if you idle or move slowly for a period of time it can't burn off on it's own because there are to low RPM's so you need to help it along and You Tube will help you with that. If it is a sensor then you're probably ok as long as you get if taken care of. Some are very easy to replace.(ie. Manifold sensor). First, Check the code. You tube will help with that as well.

If you don’t want to pull up the codes to troubleshoot, I would check your fuel filter for water. Had exactly the same thing happen to me and when I checked the code, that’s what it told me. I drained the fuel filter in to a clear plastic cup until I saw fuel come out after the water. Then went back into the coach and turned the ignition on and off a half dozen times without starting to prime the filter. Started it up and check engine light went away. Hope your situation is that simple.

Check your chassis manual for instructions on how to pull the engine fault codes up on your dash. Then use those codes in an internet search to find out what the problem is. It could be something as simple as failing to wait on the "Wait to Start" light to go out before starting to something as critical as a DEF sensor failure. If it's a non-critical fault like the fail to wait, it will clear up on its own after three normal starts. A critical fault could put you in derate mode on the highway.
