Checking coolant level - Cummins ISB 300 HP

Trying to check the coolant level in my engine, but there are no markings on the coolant reservoir. The visible coolant level is about an inch below the top of the reservoir. Should the reservoir be full?

Year, make and model of your rig?

If the resevoir has a pressure cap on it and is mounted above the level of the radiator, about 2/3 full when cold is ballpark. If you fill this type to the top, it will just spit it out as it warms up.
