Thumbs up

Thanks for all the replies, we were surprised when the letter came that they are getting out of the RV insuring. We are going full time if our house sells. I guess I'll start shopping around. Thanks

We just dropped Allied via Farm and City. The rates kept creeping up too much. Just started with Progressive via USAA. Rates are better with lower deductibles.

When we bought the Magna we had Good Sam, they wanted far too much so we went to Allied but even then I've spent 3 months getting the policy correct. At first they included discounts I didn't qualify for and tried to raise the rates due to their mistakes, then it was they didn't get a copy of my safe driving cert. which I had sent to the agent. So, one battle after another but maybe it's OK now.

I have no loyalty to insurance co.'s. I shop around every year. With that being said, I haven't been able to beat the price or coverage of our Progressive policy that we've had for the past 5yrs. We also have the roadside assistance rider which is only an additional $24 a yr. We've needed it twice without any problem.

Free? Nope. There is a fee for their emergency service, but it is reasonable. I suspect the rate varies by state, usage of the MH and other factors. Mine is about $47 a year.

I had to use it one time while parked at a state park near my home. Progressive was very helpful, responsive, and followed up. Unfortunately the local tow service they use was swamped and the truck they use to haul big vehicles did not get there for several hours. Fortunately the site I was in was not booked.

Progressive called and asked how the service went and when I explained what happened, they sent me a $25 gift card.
