Class A Options - Recommendations for OEM or after market
We just configured a Baystar 3014 for delivery in September 2022. I can still change a few options if needed. We did not opt for a satellite dish but did opt for a WiFi booster. Our thought is that we can stream to our smart TVs through my iPad. What is everyone out there doing about internet and tv in there RV. We are going full time in January 2023.

We either use the hotspot on our phones or connect a phone to the TV via an HDMI cable in order to screen mirror the phone to the TV. Our hotspot is limited to 80 GB of high speed data but the phone data is true unlimited. So by screen mirroring using the unlimited phone data, that leaves more hotspot data to connect laptops, etc for internet access.
Additionally many places will have either cable TV or OTA TV. So many times we will just watch those rather than streaming TV, especially when there is nothing specific we want to watch.

You cannot depend on RV park WiFi to provide enough bandwidth for streaming. It is normally designed for handling emails, paying bills, and web surfing only. IMO you must provide your own WiFI for streaming.

I use a pep wave unit that lets me have one WiFi in the coach and use WiFi or cellular.
The guys at the 5Gstore are good to work with.
BTW I stream everything.

Year from now tech will have changed. It is all moving fast. 2023 is a lifetime away. Personally I’d get everything possible pre wired to leave every option open but nothing installed.
Today wifi booster has minimum value while cell booster and sat have value. The goal boasts are always moving. Hard to plan out but best to leave options open

We like having TV, so over the past 10+ years we've had a Winegard open face satellite. I think it will be good for another 4-5 years at least, but the future is in streaming. Unfortunately, you're not always going to get good service at campgrounds. We use an ATT Mobley for our internet, but a good mobile signal is needed.
Maybe in another 5 years and 5G integration will make streaming work in most locations.
