Class A ride
Great helpful forum.
Been Rving for five years now. We went through 2 class C's and now own a
2021 Winnebago Adventurer on a Ford F53 chassis with V6 gas engine. I had no idea what a big difference the 3 extra feet and gas engine would bring. We now have all the extra space and amentities I thought we needed. (notice "I" thought we needed.)
My wife feels like she's driving a noisy bus and in lower gears our dog goes and hides. A big help was insulating the "dog house" and going after everything that rattles we could find.
My Question, Can any body recommend how to soften the ride. I looked into Liquid Springs, I don't know how much they cost? Would upgrading the shocks help any? We have Goodyear RV tires that are supposed to be pretty good.
Any ideas would be super helpful
Thanks in advance

Head over to the Ford Chassis section on the forum. Lots of threads on improving the ride and handling. First thing to try is to get your my weighed and adjust tire pressures based on those weights. Weigh with full fuel, water and loaded as you would while driving it on a trip.
Swapping the shocks may help some. I swapped the OEM shocks for Bilsteins aftermarket shocks and they make a difference. Bilstein makes Ford’s but to a different spec.

Agree with Wildtoad,, first thing to do, if it hasn't been done yet, is to load the rig up and get it weighed. Then look at the Goodyear Load/Inflation Information chart and adjust pressures.
For handling, head for the Ford chassis section of the forum.

Congrats on the new rig Bill! Have fun and keep her between the ditches!
Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

It's going to ride harder the the E series chassis, no getting around that without lighter duty springs and more suspension travel.
Then because it's heavier and sits higher, a softer ride will will make it less stable.

Pretty sure you were supposed to have a V10 or V8 (if really new).
No wonder you’re complaining about noise with a V6.

There is a LOT of Liquid Springs info, including the installed price, in this thread: https://www.irv2.com/forums/f103/liq...ld-564025.html

Yep that should be a V10 on that F53 chassis. Not going to resolve the noise issue going up or down grades. Our dog would go hide in the crate when RPM’s got high on the 2019 V10 we had. Not much you can do abot that. As to suspension fix’s - can do aftermarket upgrades to the tune of $9 to $10 K (ask me how I know) or full liquid springs for about $25K. We just went ahead and traded for a DP and problems solved. Note everyone’s solution, but best for us.

2021 will have the 7.3 V8.
