I like your want list, looked a lot like ours a couple years age. Ended up choosing a Dutch Star. With the 450hp, you get a Cummins ISL which has a Jake Brake, big step up from an exhaust brake. Side radiator and heated floors are both nice. As far as slides in / room to walk, 1/2 bath access is fine, if we’re stopping for lunch, I put the FWS out about a foot, works great. Have fun!

Floorplan and color scheme were at the top of my list when searching for our current 2006 Monaco Dynasty.

We just got back from Aztec RV Class A resort in Ft. Lauderdale Florida, 645 lots mostly owned by $$ RV owners. I would say Newmar are the most popular Class A Deisel Pushers, followed by Tiffin, Entrada, Thor and Prevost. Many very expensive units there most from Qubeck and Ontario Canada.

Porcelin floor with matte finish - Wifey does not like glossy floors
Grey scale interior
Adequte walkway through center of coach when in travel mode. This one is important to both of us.
Generous basement storage with optional pull out trays
We've owned our 2008 Fleetwood Providence 40E with a 380 Cummins since 2010. We've loved it and taken many features for granted. Now that we're shopping for our pre-retirement coach we're learning that having an adequate walkway in travel mode isn't so easy to find. We like a couple American Dream floorplans but basement storage is very limited and the interior walkway is non-existent. Similar experience with the Dutch Star
We're located in TN but flying to TX soon to look at a Fleetwood Discovery LXE 44S. It appears to meet a lot of these requirements but we've never seen one in person and can't find any photos of it in travel mode.
We're open to anything so please share your opinions of what we should consider. Would love to hear from any 44S owners for some first hand feedback.

Dutch Star 4369, everything you want in a great Floorplan.
I hope to own one some day.
Good luck!

We had no preference on the dinette, ended up w/pull-out table & chairs by chance & now would have it no other way.
Stow the chairs on the bed for travel & there is generous space, under the table, for storage. In our case, it is used for dog crates.
Occasionally travel w/friends who have the booth dinette. With all 4 seated in the booth, it's a fire drill if someone wants to leave the table. So guys eat sideways, legs out of the booth, & girls sit on recliners or the sofa.
YMMV

Our needs are exactly the same as yours, but we're not ready to drop the hammer yet. Midway RV in Grand Rapids MI has a Dutch Star 4369 with dark Grey (black) with Euro booth. I test drove it and it's really nice. Needs to be buffed and forward booth tightened to floor as it rattled. Talk to Chad.

My first question would be, are you a full-timer? Not all coaches are rated for four seasons or full-time use. When we were shopping, our research told us -
- Newman
- Entegra
- Tiffin

We're visiting Motorhome Specialist in Alverado and NIRVC in Lewisville next month. Really looking forward to the vast inventory they have. I guess everything really is bigger in Texas!!

We purchased our 2022 American Dream at Motorhome Speciaists last summer. We love it! Yes the travel mode leg room is tight but the trade off is more room when it’s open. There is still enough room to go to the bathroom and fridge while traveling although if the dogs are in the way it’s a little harder😉
My suggestion is to plan to stay at least 4-5 days to work out kinks. We were time constrained and only spent 3 nights. 2 of our warranty items didn’t get fixed and there is no one in our area that will do the work because we didn’t buy it from them. Alvarado is 12 hours away for us so we made an appointment in Decatur for June. If we have to drive 12 hours I’d rather go right to the source.

Tiffin Allegro Red
We have a Tiffin Allegro Red 37PA that has everything but the second bath. When I look at floor plans, I want enough counter space to cook. Adding another bathroom or bunk beds reduces your counter space which is important to me. We bought ours used and are delighted with it.

Shiny tile is the only thing you’re gonna find a newer coach. You could try to find some one too acid wash the tile to remove the shine?

We have a 45' Tuscany. And also find it fairly narrow when slides are in. Because we have a half bath it can be accessed in travel mode. But fridge access is impossible. I guess it boils down to not being able to have and eat your cake. In order to get the advantages you have to put up with disadvantages. Good Luck.

There was a 2023 Dutch Star at Tampa Show being sold by North Trail. Was a 4369 design with nice outside colors and the gray inside. Had everything we wanted and looks like you too. Would have been sold but I actually had a say on the gray color and didn't like it. So we are still looking. The walking isle when closed is going to be the same on the bigger rigs. Watch out for the big seam on the floor of some of the full wall slides. They don't cover a 1/2 inch gap. Newmar is good.
