That Thor Outlaw looks great. If they do have QC issues then giving the whole system a good test sounds like solid advice.

Price points
Is $118,000 a good price for a 2015 Outlaw 37LS with the drop down bed in front and the seats/bed in the back? It's a much lower price than the first dealership I went to, but does that make it a reasonable price?
I hope we're allowed to ask this on the forum. If not, apologies in advance.

You should be able to go a bit less.

Shoot for 20% off msrp? Maybe?
Some close-outs are sold at up to 30% off, but I don't think that's normal on a regularly stocking or new inventory unit. 25% off would be considered a killer deal by most I think.
I would caution to make sure you're committed to the long haul - like more than ten years, as new unit depreciation is really steep.
Good luck and let us know how it goes!

Interesting. I would think 118k is a great price. Seems like I have a lot to learn about negotiating. One of the many great things about this site is you can learn so much from so many- so easily, just by reading these threads.

Ummm, $118K, is a great price (FOR A 2015 IMHO)...especially with the optional drop-down bunk in front and the garage bed/bunks. The only other option available is the Flush Glass windows.
MSRP for a 2015 37LS is just north of $174,000, see:
2015 0 Thor Outlaw 37LS Class A Gas Toyhauler (Stock# 8206)
and
#8671 - 2015 Thor Motor Coach Outlaw 37LS Patio, 26K Chassis, Pwr Bunk, 4 TV, 3 A/Cs for sale in Alvarado TX
20% off MSRP is in the mid to high $139K range...$118K is over 30% off MSRP.
But...that's just the math.
If you can beat 30% off MSRP before year end close-outs, I would submit that is an awesome deal!!
AND as has been said before...beware that the year-end is when the best prices are had - BUT - right now, those are the 2014's - and there will be fewer choices for colors and options in the year-end inventory.
PLUS, there is a difference that should be checked - the early 2014's had the 24,000lb GVWR...2014.5's came on the 26,000lb GVWR. That makes a difference in the garage load capacity as well as the OCCC.
Best Luck

By calculator, it's about 30% off of msrp. It's a 2015, not a 2014.

Thanks! I thought it was a good price for a 2015. Some of the '14's were about that, but the 15's have the led lights and a few other niceties. Buying an RV on my own is daunting, but I think I did ok with the price. It was hard to tell without a calculator with me. That price includes everything, taxes and all the what-nots that come with it.
They also gave me 72 hours to think it over, which is why I had time to ask.

If that includes sales tax and registration, etc. (out-the-door price), it's great. If it doesn't include sales tax, it's still pretty good. I've seen a little better, but I've seen much much worse. Also if it's close to home, it's great (assuming they will do warranty work).
Be sure to stay several days in their lot or delivery park if possible. Make sure everything is taken care of before you leave. It's much easier to get things taken care of while you are there than to come back later - not to mention the hassle factor.

Total price out the door is $118364. No state sales tax in TX. I was asking their best sale price because I was going to the Hershey show to look around. I knew the price I was given for one at a local dealership was way too high. What I got below $135k was dealer incentives so I wouldn't go to another dealership. I thought it must be pretty good since they gave me 72 hours to look around for a better price.
The price also includes an 8 hour walk through with an RV tech (not the salesperson) to learn the rig and make sure everything works, and a day and a night camping out to make sure everything works and that I know how to do everything both plugged in to fh and using just the generator. With camping out both ways, they make sure everything works. I can also stay in the area a few days and take a driving course. That will also give me time to make sure things keep working properly. The driving course is separate and not connected to the dealership, but I was going to take the course anyway, and I can do it there.

Interesting. And congratulations. I'll be up there at MHS the week after the Holiday to pick up my rig and spend the night. If there is anything I can do to assist, and the timing is right, just PM me and I'd be happy to help.

Do you have a good PDI checklist? I can give some additional pointers specifically to the Outlaw 37LS and issues I've run into. Let me know.
