Class A with Car Storage (like Volkner)

I'm very new to the RV scene but for years, I've been looking for a Class A with room for a car - much like the Volkner Mobil one that comes up every time you search. The biggest issue I have seen is that every one that I am aware of is located in Europe. Price not-withstanding, does anyone know if there are any US manufacturers OR dealers that carries these???

Car haulers are primarily a European thing. There are some Toy haulers in the US market, but don’t think they have the capacity for a small car.

Requires a very large coach and a very small car. And uses a lot of space that might be better employed for other purposes.

A toyhauler class Alike the Thor Outlaw can only handle 1450 lbs in the garage, so not even enough for the diminutive Smart Carfortwo. Diesel toyhaulers like the Newmar Canyon Star can carry more, so probably 3000 lbs of so in the garage.

The only RVs that I’ve seen in the US with this functionality were one-off customs. If you’re willing to spend the money, you can probably get what you want in a custom build or perhaps import a Volkner to the US.

It would be much easier and less expensive to tow a car or a car transport trailer.

Pay 1.5 million €, wait 2 years and you'll have the original, if you want a tag axle probably 200 grand more and still only 12m long.

The whole construction is solidly patented, so anybody interested in building a clone should first buy a licence.

I only have a toy-hauler with a classic mini inside, I'd never go back to a trailer.

But the original is worth every cent, you have to see it to appreciate it.

I’m not sure they beefed up the garage that much going from gas to a FRED. The gas models had a 1500lb garage limit and my guess is the FRED version is the same because the target is 2 motorcycles, a golf cart or similar sized 3 wheeler.

In addition to total floor load handling make sure you checkout the tailgate capacity which could be different.

Some of the few mid-engine rv's have a garage in the back with a drop down floor. I believe Travel Supreme had one.

CORRECT.

Mid engine, rear "garage". Spartan chassis if I recall correctly.

Limited production run.

Correct. I saw a mid engine travel supreme. I don’t remember the year.
The guy was pulling and SUV and using the rear area of the coach like motorhome people normally use the basement (to carry stuff). He told me he had an old mini cooper that fit in the back of the coach but then has almost no room. And it was a squeeze.

I have not seen any new mid engine coaches.

Maybe a Super C with garage space.

But my preference would be Diesel Pusher pulling a stacker. Would need a Powerball win 1st.

Me neither. The gas version has a garage weight spec, but I couldn't find one for the FRED version. The CCC is much larger, though, like 7000 lbs, so a beefier garage seems likely.

Welcome to the forum.

I remember looking at and considering a Travel Supreme back in 2006. It was a 2007 M-41DS02B.

I know they showed us a Smart car in the garage but I don't think any other car would fit back there (it was something like THIS ONE but the Smart they used to demonstrate was grey in color) ...I don't think even a MINI would have fit.

I believe a M-41DS02B is 42+ feet long but obviously with no tag. I didn't like the set up or felt comfortable with some of the weight distribution attributes of that coach. We actually did consider a Smart car at one time but putting it in the garage of that M-41DS02B didn't seem like the thing to do. Neither was a Smart as it was just too small ...didn't feel safe at all.
