Climate Control Questions

I have a 2009 Fleetwood Fiesta 34N Bunkhouse. Was wondering if you can make the climate control a dual system? The thermostat does not have dual climate control. There is a temperature sensor in the front galley and one in the rear bedroom. The coach has 30 amp service with Smart Energy Management system by Intellitec with Power Shed and with out the optional display. There is two a/c units on top of the coach. I know the rear a/c unit cools the temperature in the rear bedroom and the front a/c cools the front galley. What I was noticing on a hot day the rear bedroom doesn't cool off as well as the front galley. I also notice that the rear a/c compressor isn't always running. It turns on and off while the front a/c compressor stay on more often. When the rear a/c compressor is on the air is cold. Is it normal for the fans to stay on all the time? Any info would help

My thermostat has the ability to set each AC unit to LOW, HIGH, and AUTO. If you set each on to either low or high the fan will run continuously. Mine is a Duotherm system.

I think the problem with your that a 30 amp system will not support running 2 AC units so one is being shut down by the EMS system.

I have a 50 AMP system but if I am hooked to a 30 amp source the EMS system recognizes this and allow power consumption up to 30 amps before shedding. I have 4 circuits that are shed, AC1, AC2, Water Heater, and Washer/Dryer. I can run 1 AC unit at a time on a 30 amp system and then have to watch other loads, if we use the microwave the AC unit will be shed.

Thanks for the info jacwjames. I'm unable to control each a/c individually. My thermostat only allows me to switch from low or high fan, Low cool, high cool, auto cool, or heat. If I Install and dual zone thermostat will I be able to control each a/c unit individually? What brand/type of thermostat should I be looking for? My a/c units are Coleman Mach Series. I know that the rear a/c unit will be the shed power if the microwave is used.

I have Duotherm units with a dual zone thermostat that also controls the furnace.

Here is a link to the thermostat catalog for Coleman. It does show multiple zone control so you might be able to.
