Closet woes
We have a Tiffin Allegro Bus 43QRP. The closet goes across the back of the bus in the back bathroom. Sometimes when we travel our clothes will come off the rack. The whole hanger appears to spin off the pole. I’ve tried turning the hangers both ways. There’s nothing remarkable about the trips. No hard stops or big hills. Thoughts or advice ?

We had that problem. I replaced the bar with a regular wood one about 1 1/4” dia.
So far they have stayed on for the last 2 years.
Good luck

Easy fix. Get a dowel rod as long as the closet rod. Drill a hole through each end. Using Zip ties, attach it loosely to the rod. While parked just flip it over the rod to the back. Before traveling, just flip it over the rod to the front.

There is too much spring in the bar. Add a couple of additional supports.

If you can’t pull out three items of clothes by pulling on one, you don’t have enough clothes in your closet.
At least that’s how my DW sees it . . . [emoji6]

I don't have a problem with anything jumping off the rack, as DW practices "pack it till it's full". However I always like clever ideas.
What is the theory here, that the little extra weight of the 6' dowel rod is enough to keep the hanger from bouncing off?

No. The dowel doesn't keep the hangers from bouncing. It keeps them from moving forward enough to fall off the closet rod.

I did two things. Removed some of the bounce by filling the inside of the hollow rod with black pipe. Then drilled a 1/4 inch hole just above the hangers on each end of the rod support. Installed a cut to fit fiberclass pole into the 1/4 inch holes.

Doesn't interfer with hanging and keeps the vertical travel to a minimum.
