The problem with laundromats is that you never know what was washed in them before you got there. Load of dirty diapers? Load of oil filled work clothes? Personally I don't like finding the leavings on my clothes.

We had one put in by the dealer when we bought it. We are not full timers, but do go out a few months at a time, back for a few more before going back out. Every time the DW does a load of wash, she reminds me how much she loves it & wonders if she could ever do without it..

X2 the 7100 unvented is so good its you wouldn't know it isn't vented. And, to answer the next question, an unvented dryer does not vent itself inside the RV. There is no dryer "exhaust" inside the RV.

Only downside of the ventless is that is uses water. We do not use it when bondocking for o vinous reasons. I just installed a Haier 1600 and love it.

So, where does it vent to? The water vapor and heated air have to go someplace.

Cold water is pumped in and condensation is collected on an outer drum and pumped out the drain.

That's the same way the older non-vented models work, that's why I asked how the new ones work. That still leaves the moisture laden heated air going into the MH.

I don't know what you mean; there is no moisture laden heated air going into the MH since there is no dryer exhaust in the normal sense. The water evaporated off the clothes condenses on the outer drum and then drains into the gray water. The "new" unvented units and the old work the same way; the new one we have just works better than the old one ever did.

We have a combinations washer dryer, we rarely use it. It takes forever to do a load of wash. We have found that it is ok for towels and underwear. However if you wash shirts or pants they come out so rinkled you cant wear them. We are considering removing the unit for the extra space.

Same here. We have no moisture in the RV, it ia a closed system.

We are camping so we don't worry about a few rinkles. For good shirts and pants we have it stop after the wash cycle and shake them out then run the dryer cycle. Hang them when you take them out and it is not so bad. Anything I have to iron I would have the same problem with the laundro mat...

TAZ, I can understand about drilling a hole through the wall for your washer/dryer as soon as my home is sold [ one day hopefull in the near future] we will be updating the ole MH to something newer, either a 5'er or MH regardless it will have a washer/dryer.

We agree, but it is worth noting that the speed of drying and the degree of wrinkling is very related to how full you stuff the machine. The user guide states very clearly that it will wash 15 pounds of clothes but can only dry ~half that much. The extra clothes significantly slow down the drying process.

True. We just put in our clothes from the day. If we have large loads we split them up. We also have a nice outdoor clothes hanger we use for towels.
