Co-Captain's Conveniences

Our coach is front entry and I'm looking for ideas on mods that would make the Co-Captain's ride more comfortable (i.e. add a flip-up laptop desk, or footrest, or handy storage ... stuff like that) ...

I've already ordered a replacement window that will slide open, so that takes care of one item on the to-do list ...

Captain's chair on the PS on our MH has and electric foot rest, arm height is adjustable and back reclines - plus the whole chair swivels and goes back and forth. Perhaps replacing the chairs, if you have room to utilize the movement, would be a good place to start?

Other than that - given the need for space; magazine rack on the outside wall to old Rand MacNally, etc.

Please post pictures of what you finally install -

I did just the opposite. I removed the sliding passenger window and replaced it with a solid one. The DW is much happier with her unobstructed view now.

I don't know if there is a lot you can do. Our passenger window is solid with no blocking of the view. I always thought a window that opened would be nice, but knowing MY wife, she would never open it. On ours the chair is fully featured, like described above. She does have a couple of cup holders and we run two GPS units. One in the dash and I mounted one near her window. She can look up destinations as needed, like Rest Stops, so we don't have to change the main GPS.

My wife likes to play on her Ipad as we drive. We added a WiFi system to the coach, so she has internet while we drive. I also made sure she had a plug handy to power it.

Our coach came with a large flip up desk, (Newmar feature) but was a real ankle biter when parked. We, as most owners have done, removed it. Maybe one of those short legged tray tables could work for you as a desk top.

I added a custom made foot rest, made so her feet would not be at an angle when sitting in the chair.

I also removed the passenger chair, and added a full air Recaro drivers seat. Much better for her back and comfort on long days.

And USB power port so the iPhone never runs out of juice for her.
