coach step stopped working

The coach step started working intermittently and now will not extend. I can't figure out how to remove the step motor cover to check the motor.

Do you have a screen door? Is there a magnet that makes contact to open close?
usually at the bottom corner of the door. if the contact is not lined up the steps will not work.

Can you supply info on the step manufacturer ?

Kwikee ?
Year, make and model of coach ?
External steps or internal stair cover that's the issue ?
Perhaps a picture of the mechanism.

When mine started intermittently working, that was my queue to clean/lube them.
