Coaches with Side Mounted Radiators

Is there a list somewhere of coaches that have the radiators mounted on the sides? I can see that even simple maintenance with a rear radiator would be very difficult. Just checking a belt looks to be a really challenging.

Looking for used coaches from 2000-2012 or so.

Is there a site with a decent list of the brands and models available?

Thanks, Bill

I can't help you with a list, but for Monaco/Holiday Rambler in that date range I believe all coaches above (as in model/features) and including Camelot/Scepter have side radiators. Generally the higher end DPs have side radiators, but there are probably exceptions.

Larger engine and higher end coaches tend to have side radiator. No hard and fast listing AFAIK.

it varies among models even and also years. Mine is a 2003 HR 40PBDD scepter. The specific roadmaster chassis is called a RR8 (or 10) S

Sometimes I just sit and listen to it

I'm also looking at 2002-2007 & found side radiator on most with Cummins ISL engines & Cat C9s.

One thing I haven't seen mentioned is that AFAIK all (or almost all) Freightliner chassis have rear radiators whereas many (most?) Spartan chassis have side radiators.

FWIW our 2000 Beaver Patriot Thunder with a Cat C-12 has a side radiator.

Our 2000 American Eagle is side radiator.
Spartan Mountain Master chassis of that era were side radiator.
Engine is a Cummins 350ISC.

I agree == I specifically looked for a side radiator and appreciate it all the time.

thx Dale
