Coachman Diesel parking brake problem

2006 model motorhome. Cummins motor with Allison Transmission, Arens controls and air brakes. I released the parking brake but the shifter indicates it is still on and motorhome won't move when put in gear. Indicator says DP, RP, or NP. Code on monitor says "park set in gear". You can feel brakes release and can push it in the shop so know the brakes aren't on. Jacks are completely up, step is in and slides are in. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Haven't had this problem myself, but from your description it appears likely there is a sensor of some sort that should signal the transmission that the brakes are no longer applied, and that signal is not making it to the transmission for whatever reason.
The good news is that it should be a fairly easy fix when compared to an actual transmission problem. The hardest part may be actually finding the sensor. I suspect one of the more experienced members here will chime in with some good advice. Failing that, you could contact Freightliner on Monday. You'll want to have your VIN available. Otherwise, it's painless. They have sent me some good information such as wiring diagrams and lubrication points, etc.

There may be a air switch, right behind the parking brake knob, that is bad.

Look like this. You can jumper the connections to see if it fixs your problem.
