Collision Shop Help!

We have a 2011 Thor Tuscany by Damon 42’ 450 hp pusher. Beautifully kept coach and well maintained. For the first time in over 20 years of driving we got into our first fender bender. Not major damage but the basement cargo doors on the driver side and some scuffs along with the topper have been damaged on the driver side slide out. We bumped a tree pulling through a very skinny RV park that we had no business being directed through by the host being our size in northern Montana.

We have progressive commercial insurance because we do use it for our business traveling around the country. Paid in full up front. I have had the absolute most miserable time trying to find a collision center that will even look at the damage. And progressive will not recommend any shops to us which is a far cry from the state farm we used to carry. We are in Southwest Florida fort Myers area. The shops that will accept it cannot get to it for weeks or months! And that’s after waiting 2 weeks from now for them to even look at it. I’m talking about what I would consider extreme minor damage replacing a couple of basement doors matching the paint and installing new topper brackets and a topper. God bless anyone who has further more severe damage. If there’s anybody out there that can recommend a quality shop anywhere between TAMPA and Collier County Florida on the West Coast I would very much appreciate it. And as soon as I can get this claim completed I will be dropping progressive as an insurance carrier. I’ve never had a claim in my life and extremely disappointed with the service and how were being treated. Okay, this is going to sound really weird but also check out AAA Marine Services in Fort Meyers.

They have one of the best reputations in the area for boat repair and are fiberglass and gelcoat experts. They do RV repair also but not many know about that.

They do excellent work, are extremely friendly and customer oriented, and have great online reviews too.

I say beware State Farm recommended shops.Twice on me state farm recommended shops slipped in used or aftermarket parts when they got paid for new OEM and straighten core support that was supposed to be replaced . That's maybe that's why Progressive doesn't have these shops. To raise question are they are involved in skimming customer . I was 2nd in command at body shop we worked with people on their deductibles Or fix some extra bit if we saved a panel or got used part. No slip in used or aftermarket parts save parts paid to cut out and replaced pocketing all the cash.If you get like I did get a repair like that good luck getting back what they pocketed. I turned them in to State Farm they never made it right with me.

2nd the recommendation for Creative Coach. Had a Progressive claim, their adjuster came out and wrote a check to cover the damages and suggested a couple of recommended shops for repair. Had seen work from the recommended shops and was not thrilled with their quality. Called Creative and asked them about bringing it to them but since I knew that they do a lot of higher end work, wasn't sure how it worked. They told me I would be responsible for the deductible and they would work out the rest with Progressive. I told them that Progressive had already written me a check, they responded with "it's probably not enough but we'll work it out with Progressive". So I took it to Creative and a few days later Progressive adjuster called me and said that Creative had showed him some things that he had missed and they have agreed on a new figure. Creative went above and beyond to help me out in a couple of areas that wasn't covered by insurance. Very pleased with my experience with Creative and can't really complain about Progressive.

Thank You

Thank you for the tip. Spoke to the gentleman in charge of the collision center. I felt very comfortable with his knowledge and the pictures of his craftsmanship available online. I’m taking the coach to him Friday. He’s about 100 miles down the road. Thanks all for such quick responses and recommendations!!! Love this forum!
