Is it factory installed or an add on and if so is there a brand name?

I believe it was factory installed.
I can’t find a number for Fleetwood other than the online pay as you go.
I have no idea how these have a built in compass or how they work.
Will do some more research.

There may be a calibration mode that would allow you to try and reset it. There are on my passenger vehicles.

Thank you.
So far took it apart, probably will need a new one.
The mode button does not function when pressed.
Can see where wires for temp and the compass run towards roof through tv cabinet. Have no idea where from there.

Black electrical tape over the direction portion of the display. Can't see it, doesn't need to be fixed. Do you really want to spend time and money tracking down a 15 year old display that is easily replaced by your GPS sitting on the dash?

You probably have this unit from American Technology. It consists of a dash display and an externally mounted sensor for temperature.

If this function is worth the $200 price, buy a new one. If not, get a cheap, separate compass and thermometer from an auto parts store, Walmart, etc.

Ours was stuck indicating the wrong direction, summer of 2016. It fixed itself and has been fine for over a year. May have straightened out after disconnecting chassis battery.

I put it back together.
Not worth the effort. Battery was recently changed so that did not help.
Will just follow gps. Think the black tape might keep my mind off it. At least the temp. Read out is accurate.
