Considering a FW Discovery 40G

I’m looking to upgrade my gas coach to a DP. I’m looking for quality 2010ish-2018, 36’-40’, bunks. 10k towing. Budget is around 150-160k.

I’m considering a 2015 Fleetwood 40G, any known issues or things to look out for with that coach or in general for coach’s of that age?

Also considering, holiday rambler

I don't have any personal experience with a '15 40G but it is a super nice coach. I've owned a '08 Fleetwood Providence 40E on a Freightliner chassis and it has served us well for the last 15 years, very reliable! That said, I wish it had IFS and front disc breaks. Does the '15 40G have independent front suspension?

My 15 40E is running strong, the chassis is great. 54k miles. But everything above the frame is prone to break. Believe me!

40g 2020

We have a 2020 40G. Love it. A few problems but all Freightliner/Cummins related and all fixed under warranty. Regarding buidl quality inside the coach only minor issues. Paneling and trim falling off etc. Easy fixes with brad nailer and glue. We try to keep AC on when it is parked, this helps a lot. 40G floor plan, at least in 2020, is great. Only thing we dislike is the kitchen storage is minimal and the shower is very tight. We did remove the dish washer and had matching doors made and the area trimmed out with the same grey fabric used throughout the coach. Also added pull out drawers under sink for better use of that space. Next Mod is to put the electric fireplace on a drawer so that huge wasted corner can be utilized for storage!
