Continental HRS2sa feedback?

I need to replace my steer tires and am considering the Continental HSR2sa. A local tire dealer can get them and will give me the FMCA pricing. I wanted Hankook AH-12's due to previous good experience with them on another coach but no one in my area has them or is willing to order them for me.

Just wondering if anyone has used the Continentals on their coach and, if so, were you satisfied with the ride and handling?

Watch the build date on the HSR2. I tried to get a couple in 295/80 back in the spring & the dates were between 1-2 years old coming out of the warehouse. I ended up with Condi Coach HA3 in 315/80 instead. Replaced a pair of Michelin XZA2 Energy in 315 that were nearly 9 years old. The Continentals ride & handle fine.

I discussed that issue with the dealer since some Michelin XZA2's with 2010 date codes got put on my coach by the selling dealer in 2013 (4 of my 8 tires are now 7 years old). This dealer tells me he can get tires with current date codes.

I would love to upgrade my steers to 315's if I was sure I could do it. Most 315's spec a 9" rim and mine are 8.25 I suspect. Also, not sure I have the space under there for that bigger tire.

Ha3s are rated for 8.25 rims, max pressure of 120 = 7650 per tire

I saw that when I checked the specs. The HSRA2 is also available in a 315 and it also notes approved rims are 9.00 and 8.25. So now I just need to determine if there would be no clearance issues.

Thanks.

I run Continentals on my Peterbilt. Best tire I have found for steers! Plan on putting them on my BlueBird when it needs new fronts.
