Continous Air Brake Alarm

Every time I shift my 40' 2015 Holiday Rambler Endeavor into drive or reverse, an (air??) alarm comes on and stays on until it decides to quit. 400 sil diesel with 6 speed allison tranny, road master chassis. Air pressure stays in normal range and am experiencing no malfunctioning with the brakes. There is an occasional spread with the front and rear tank pressures, but mostly stays within 2-3 lbs. Any suggestions, cause it is quite annoying.

Any chance it could be your parking brake alarm. There is switch on the bottom it that is known to go bad.

There should be an air pressure switch near or on the parking brake valve plunger manifold. If this pressure switch is not reading that the brake line is pressurized the alarm will continue to sound. You have air pressure or the parking brake wouldn't release so it must be a malfunctioning switch.

On my Holiday Rambler if the parking brake is set, and you shift into gear the alarm will sound no matter what the air pressure.
Take off the parking brake and alarm goes away.

I agree that it could very well be the problem with the parking brake pressure switch that is a common one and the switch may need replacement. It seems like most occur cases involve Monaco products but I don't think it's exclusively the case.

Read member "nodine" 's paper for an interesting and detailed explanation
